JASON RUSSELL, III

1763 - 1840

Jason was born on June 2, 1763 in Arlington, Middlesex, Massachusetts In 1769. He was the oldest of ten children. When Jason was 6 years old, his parents, Jason & Elizabeth Russell, two uncles & aunt moved to Mason, New Hampshire. He had 3 siblings at the time.

 

Jason moved to Somerset, Maine where he married Rebecca Laughton in 8 November 1786. They lived in a few little towns, but always in Somerset County.

Jason and Rebecca had 11 children in twenty-two years.

 

Jason’s son, Asa, married Mary Loveland, daughter of Captain James & Mary Loveland. Asa was a blacksmith and farmer.

His son, Stephen, was a Baptist minister for 22 years in Sidney, Maine.

Jason lived in Brighton, Somerset County where he died in 1840 at age 77 years old. Rebecca died eight years later at 79 years old.
