Chester Leone Lybecker
1901-1961
Chester (Chet) Leone Lybecker was born to Ella and Charles Oscar Lybecker in 1901, the eighth of nine children on their farm in Spokane, Washington.
In 1926, Chet married Mary (Maime) Jane Webster. He was twenty-five and she was twenty-six years old. Chet and Maime had four children in eleven years.
Chet followed the family tradition of education. He got his BA degree and taught for years. In 1930, he taught in a public school. In 1940, he taught agriculture in high school. In 1955, he was the vocational director at Walla Wall High School.
Chester Leone Lybecker died at fifty-nine years old in 1961. Sometime after Chet died, Maime moved to Idaho where her brother lived. She lived there until 1987 when she died at eighty-six years old.
